Kavanagh College is pleased to offer a variety of English Language Courses. Our wide range of General English Language courses cater for English Language students of all levels. Quality English Language teaching combined with small classes guarantees results.
We offer General English courses for all levels – elementary, intermediate and advanced. The English course enables you to combine English classes with structured study sessions, leaving you time to practice your English during social activities with your new friends!
The curriculum for all courses is well-planned and the emphasis is on making the classes as interesting as possible while improving your level of English as rapidly as possible.
The standard general English course covers all aspects of the language: grammar, usage, reading, writing, listening and speaking. Great importance is placed on oral communication and materials are both relevant and stimulating. Students are tested regularly to make sure they are in the correct class for their level.

Intensive General English Courses : Ref 11/igec1

The intensive General English Course is designed for students wishing to make optimum use of their time studying English in Dublin. The course covers all aspects of the English language and aims to develop the student’s communicative ability in the shortest time possible. It is the fastest way to achieve fluency in English.
Our Intensive English program consists of:
  • General English classes - Our experienced team of teachers will focus your study on the four main language disciplines of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Your fluency and confidence will increase rapidly thanks to Kavanagh College's  proven communicative teaching method.
  • Elective lessons - including Business English, current affairs, exam preparation, local culture, film studies and literature.
  • Supplementary structured study - Your supplementary Structured Study sessions give you access to learning materials such as online language exercises, course books etc

Our business courses are intensive one/two week courses which focus on improving your business and general English as quickly as possible.

Course Content:
The course is designed for groups of young people. The course combines expert English language tuition with an interesting social and cultural programme.
The course includes use of language and grammar. Students are assessed on their level of English on their first day and placed in a class according to their level. In class, students will improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
